The NaNu- Nurturing and Nature Project
The NaNu project promotes a renewed connection between people and nature through intergenerational storytelling, visual arts, and inclusive environmental education. It recognizes the urgent need to build ecological awareness, stimulate civic engagement, and preserve cultural heritage in the face of climate change and social fragmentation across Europe. At the heart of the project lies the belief that connecting generations and communities through creative learning practices can inspire action for sustainability, foster resilience, and preserve the richness of Europe’s natural and cultural legacy.Aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme 2025 and the European Green Deal, NaNu contributes to the objectives of the Agenda 2030 by creating educational tools that raise awareness of ecological challenges, engage learners across generations, and enhance community participation in sustainable practices. The project pays special attention to inclusiveness and the integration of vulnerable and underrepresented groups, encouraging diverse learners to become active stewards of the environment.NaNu brings together partners from Belgium, Cyprus and the Netherlands, combining expertise in adult education, cultural storytelling, digital media, and sustainability. Through this cross-sectoral and transnational collaboration, the project aims to produce educational resources that are creative, participatory, and transferable, engaging both learners and educators in meaningful ecological reflection and action.
NaNu Objectives are:
- Environmental awareness and action.
- Inclusive environmental education
- Intergenerational Learning.
- Active European citizenship.
- Cultural heritage preservation

Empowerment
We have developed different programmes to empower individuals (refugees, migrants, single mothers) with a distance to the labour markt and society.
Our empowerment training, always given in groups, focuses on soft skills, goals and qualities at the start and develops into a professional skills training after. We believe in the power of networking and personal mentorship. Peer groups, formed by women from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, create a safe space for participants. The women motivate and support each other, often resulting in long lasting friendships. Each participant has a personal mentor who guides the participant during the programme contributing to the successful implantation of the goals.
Sustainability
Sustainability consists of fulfilling the needs of current generations without compromising the needs of future generations, while ensuring a balance between economic growth, environmental care and social well-being.
Our aim is to establish sustainable connections between local municipalities, employers, residents and other beneficiaries. With this we contribute to social cohesion and successful integration of migrants, supporting them to build a strong network, while at the same time creating and utilizing economic opportunities.
